As a member in ETUG.ca, the default role for each member will be set as “contributor”. Contributors will have permission to create, edit, and delete their own posts. The posts will be sent to the Community Stewards for approval before published. With this role, Contributors can upload images, and other media to show in their posts.

Below is the steps to create a new post:

1. Add new post

Click on the “Add New” button at the top left of the site. Drop down menu will pop out, click on the “Post” button under “Add New” tab.

2. Add post content

Give your post a title and start adding the content to the content area.

3.  Add media to post

You can add image, video, and audio to your post by clicking media icon above the post content. For more details, go to our post about “How to add media (image, video, and audio) to your post” (coming up).

4. Preview the post

View the post under “View Post” located at the top of the site or click on the “Preview” button.

5. Save as draft

6. Edit the draft

You can edit your draft anytime by clicking “All Posts” button and choosing the post you would like to edit.

7. Submit the post

Submit the post for Review. Wait for your post to be published!
