For the April TELL session we were treated to a very informative and fun chat with ETUGger Bob Byrne (formerly of Thompson Rivers University). Bob provided participants with great info on the World Bank and his work there as a Learning Specialist, as well as, very practical advice on working in the U.S.
His talk included these topics:
- World Bank background
- Staff learning
- Getting hired
- Learning specialist role
- Daily life (and tips on living/working DC)
Join us for this interesting peek into what it’s like to work in the U.S. capitol and for a large organization like World Bank.
