UBC H5P Symposium: SAVE the DATE: February 18-19, 2026!

UBC will be hosting online H5P conference on 2026, February 18-19! This year the theme is Designing the Future of Interactive Learning: H5P, OER, and GenAI.

The Symposium is open and free for UBCO, UBCV, and non-UBC faculty, staff, and students at the post-secondary level.

New Member Spotlight - Andrew Dunn, Vancouver Community College

I'm the Manager, Online Learning Strategy and Design at Vancouver Community College, where I help staff and faculty to select and use educational technologies effectively.

I fell into education and edtech specifically through my work as an archaeologist in the 1990s, excavating well-visited sites in Scotland, including Edinburgh and Stirling Castles, and Melrose Abbey. However, I was spectacularly bad at fieldwork and found myself promoted/relegated to documenting and reporting on the finds, creating public facing educational materials about the dig and so on - all of which required familiarity and engagement with edtech.
