EdTech Sandbox

We invite expressions of interest from educators, educational technology developers, and learning designers from B.C.’s public post-secondary institutions to lead a session in the EdTech Sandbox Series.
Focus Areas for 2026–27
  • The AI Sandbox: A space for experimentation and evaluation of AI tools
  • New Uses for Familiar Tools: A space for creative repurposing or exploring overlooked features of existing and familiar EdTech tools
  • The No-Go EdTech Sandbox: A space for critical analysis of EdTech tools that may be ineffective, risky, exclusionary, or pedagogically weak.
As an EdTech Sandbox leader, you are invited to:
  • Design and facilitate a 90-minute workshop including hands-on experimentation and evaluation of the tool through teaching and learning activities.
  • Support peers in selecting, adopting, or making informed decisions about new tools for work or study.
  • Provide a summary based on your session to introduce the tool and to help educators across B.C. adopt technologies for teaching and learning.
The compensation for participation in this program is $700 + GST.
Please submit your application by June 12, 2026.

Blast From The Past

The Fall 2014 ETUG workshop featured an unconference program and process. It was the first time ETUG had attempted this informal and participant-driven format, and it was full of fun and creativity! You can check out the presentation resources and the pictures from the unconference here!
