We invite expressions of interest from educators, educational technology developers, and learning designers from B.C.’s public post-secondary institutions to lead a session in the EdTech Sandbox Series.
-
The AI Sandbox: A space for experimentation and evaluation of AI tools
-
New Uses for Familiar Tools: A space for creative repurposing or exploring overlooked features of existing and familiar EdTech tools
-
The No-Go EdTech Sandbox: A space for critical analysis of EdTech tools that may be ineffective, risky, exclusionary, or pedagogically weak.
As an EdTech Sandbox leader, you are invited to:

Design and facilitate a 90-minute workshop including hands-on experimentation and evaluation of the tool through teaching and learning activities.
-
Support peers in selecting, adopting, or making informed decisions about new tools for work or study.
-
Provide a summary based on your session to introduce the tool and to help educators across B.C. adopt technologies for teaching and learning.

Blast From The Past
At our Fall 2023 Workshop, presenters from Langara College reflected on the Reading Lists that were added to all their courses. In the presentation, it was highlighted how adoption of the tool improves the student and instructor experience in the LMS; improves accessibility; streamlines processes for providing accessible content; helps ensure copyright compliance; and facilitates collaboration between departments, including EdTech, the Library, and Accessibility Services. You can find the full recording and materials here!
