David Sanders, Jennifer McKay and Sharon Doucet
David Sanders is currently an Instructional Designer in the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine. He completed his BA at the University of British Columbia before going back later in life to do his MA in Learning and Technology at Royal Roads. An ESL teacher for 18 years, Dave has extensive experience not only in the classroom but also in developing and implementing curriculum. He has a long-standing love of technology and is interested in using and leveraging new developments and emerging research to enhance learning.
Jennifer McKay is an Instructional Designer in the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine, and is working towards her Masters of Educational Technology at the University of British Columbia. She completed her B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Toronto.
Session Description
Increased needs in Faculty Development on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion during COVID has required a flexible approach to creating space in a continuously changing learning environment. Using Articulate Rise, we delivered an online module promoting active learning in blended, group, and self-study learning environments, creating an inclusive blueprint for future modules.
