ETUG will gather online for a 2-day workshop May 26 – 27, 2022. Here’s a taste of what we’re thinking of.
Following the rapid shift to online during Covid, institutions across BC are now in the process of determining how their educational programs will be delivered. With faculty being more comfortable with tools such as Zoom and MS Teams, as well as the overall design of online courses, we are seeing an increase in classes being delivered using a hybrid model. How will these changes affect our role as instructional designers and education technology support staff?
This workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges of supporting flipped, hyflex, or hybrid learning models. What technology and tools will be used by faculty and institutions to serve students? What will campuses look like if more programs are delivered in a hybrid or hyflex model? Will more faculty use learning management systems and education technology in general? What will faculty training look like as perspectives toward technology evolve? What training will we need to keep up with all of this?
We’re currently looking presenters to expand upon the theme. Details for Call for Proposals can be found here.
